Healthier People Building Healthier Lives
A future where people have the knowledge, confidence and support to make healthier choices for themselves and their communities.
From rural New South Wales to brain health education, professional speaking and coaching, Jeanette (SHED)'s work has always centred around one question:
What helps people understand themselves, improve their health and make better choices?
Today, as a Licensed Brain Health Trainer and Professional Coach, she brings together science, practical education and real-life experience to help individuals and rural communities better understand their brain and create meaningful change.
A future where people have the knowledge, confidence and support to make healthier choices for themselves and their communities.
Through speaking, coaching, education and practical support, Focus Open Mind helps people better understand themselves and take meaningful steps towards healthier lives.
Jeanette (SHED) grew up in Central West New South Wales, surrounded by agriculture, community and the realities of rural life.
Her journey has included physical education and health, farming in New South Wales, business ownership, community involvement and supporting people through different stages of life.
Living and working in rural communities also taught Jeanette (SHED) something important:

In 1998, Jeanette (SHED) purchased her own agricultural property. She operated cattle, sheep and lucerne enterprises while working to build and maintain a sustainable property.
During this time, Jeanette (SHED) also worked across several other industries to bring additional capital into the farming business.
Her experience included roles as a:

In 2013, Jeanette (SHED) moved from farming into a new chapter of life. But her interest in people, health and education had been developing for much longer.
Her background in physical education and health gave Jeanette (SHED) an early understanding of how closely physical wellbeing, behaviour and everyday choices are connected.
Years of farming, business ownership and community life added another layer:
Knowing what to do and actually being able to do it are often two very different things.
That curiosity eventually led Jeanette (SHED) into professional speaking, coaching and then deeper into brain health education.
She trained through:
